Present in the middle Congo River basin, including Pool Malebo (= Stanley Pool), lower Kasai (Kwa River), Lake Tumba and the lower Ruki (Ref. 43912). Particularly common in Lake Tumba (Ref. 43912, 78218). Type locality of the 7 syntypes of Eutropius tumbanus: "Tondu, Lac Tumba"; probably of economic importance locally for fishermen of Lake Tumba (Ref. 43912). Also Ref. 3570. |
